IT MindFinders is conducting a search for a Senior Project Manager for the Canadian, downtown Vancouver office of a dynamic and very progressive North American industry leader. This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President and has close partnerships with software developers, their resellers and their partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage all aspects of project delivery including scope, deliverables, tasks, effort, duration, dependencies, cost and quality
- Coach, motivate and provide leadership to junior Project Managers
- Lead project teams in the initial definition and development of solutions right through to completion.
- Implement best practices and project methodologies
• Define, monitor and manage project work plans, budgets and resources
- Evaluate project status and performance and make recommendations for appropriate corrective action.
- Drive software development life-cycle model
- Identify and manage project risks and issues
- Collaborate, coordinate and communicate across both business and technical areas
- Schedule. lead and facilitate meetings including requirements gathering and process review
- Apply established IT best practices and methodologies
- Preparing reports and create project documentation

MUST HAVE SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field
- Project Management Certification and/or Certification in Business Analysis
- Solid foundation in project management disciplines and methodologies
- Well-versed in systems development lifecycle
- Minimum 10 years relevant IT work experience
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Manager in the implementation of software applications and/or products
- Expert knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word, Outlook and other MS Office applicatons
- Exceptional facilitation, collaboration, negotiation and leadership skills
- Possesses superior diplomacy, judgement and tact with excellent, proactive communication skills, and active listening skills
- Strong written English language skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities
- Demonstrated track record of running projects end-to-end and delivering on time and wihin budget
- High level of initiative, independent and self sufficient
- Able to travel on business once to twice a quarter
