IT MindFinders is conducting a search for a Consulting Director for the Vancouver branch office of an international consulting firm. This individual will lead

the marketing and delivery of consulting

services to local Public Sector organizations including Crown Corporations, Cities and Municipalities and other Local government agencies.

As a lead member of the Canadian Public Sector Management Team, this role will develop and deliver marketing plans, foster strong relationships with current and prospective clients, determine solutions to meet clients’ needs, and provide delivery oversight to project teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, build and leverage executive level relationships within the account base in the public sector practice – active and visible within the client community

• Develop strategy and approach in the pursuit of new and potential opportunities

• Develop and execute business plans, budgets and forecasts

• Ensure that projects are delivered within scope, budget and to client satisfaction.

• Oversee and lead proposal development in response to RFP’s

• Grow and mentor resources

MUST HAVE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• University Degree in Business, Information Technology or Project Management Certification

• Minimum 15 years industry experience with progressively increasing level of leadership responsibility - at least 10 years experience in consulting and business development

• Leadership role and track record of successful delivery with large budget, systems integration services

• Demonstrated competence in client services (i.e. management consulting, solutions delivery and/or managed services), communication and marketing

• Demonstrated success at influencing people at all levels in large organizations and ability to leverage existing contacts into new business opportunities

• Ability to readily recognize a business opportunity, design & present a solution and direct internal resources on delivery

• Previous hands-on experience selling and delivering services to senior levels of public sector organizations in British Columbia is highly desirable

• Broad knowledge and expertise in technology focused business practices

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
