IT MindFinders is conducting a search for an Implementations Manager for the Canadian office of our client, an American financial software company. This role reports directly to the Canadian Director of Operations and is responsible for people, budgets and delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a history performing in a leadership capacity and proven track record overseeing multiple projects, managing functional resources and experience in the delivery of packaged software system deployment, implementation and/or data conversions.
KEY REPONSIBILITIES:

Plans, organizes, assigns, directs and evaluates the work of project teams engaged in conversions/installation of client systems and data.

Accountable for the management of project and department budgets.

Directs the assignment, scheduling and directs the activities of up to 13 staff members (Project Managers, Business Analysts and Trainers).
- Provides team feedback and coaching.
- Liaises with the technical operations team.

Acts as the escalation point with Clients and other departments, divisions, and organizations by maintaining an in-depth understanding of the organization and the business in order to handle arising problems and issues.

Develops and enhances processes for the standardization of project delivery.

Solves problems and makes decisions for which there may not be previous precedents or guidelines.
- Communicates and gains input, acceptance, and support for plans from Canadian Director of Operations and other appropriate executives of the company.
- Member of the Canadian Management Team.
MUST HAVE SKILLS
- University Degree in Business or Information Technology.
- Proven ability to motivate and manage resources, track record in management, supervisory, or team leadership positions.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of project management principles gained through experience and utilized in completing assignments and/or overseeing others' work. Leadership role on at least two major enterprise system implementations is highly desired.

Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and juggling several projects simultaneously.

Strong computer and MS Office knowledge, specifically MS Project, Visio skills desired are a nice to have.
- Experience in the financial sector - either Banking or Credit Union industry is highly preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of conversion/’installation experience, client management and/or consulting experience.

Demonstrated independent judgment and methodical work practices.

Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills.
