Position:  Director, Product & Customer Support

IT MindFinders’ is conducting a search for a Director, Product & Customer Support for the corporate offices of a global company.

Leading a Business Unit of the IT group , the Director has strong organizational and communication skills that will be used to plan and manage the execution of large internal projects. The incumbent will provide the kind of direction and guidance required that produces project team success and achieves corporate objectives. Candidates must have significant, applicable ERP implementation experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply project management expertise, identify, develop, and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, mitigate risks, resolve issues, and optimize cost savings and efficiencies

  • Successfully manage a number of projects simultaneously

  • Act as the primary liaison between functional end-users and IT group

  • Coordinate all aspects of project delivery including defining project scope, specifying deliverables, estimating project duration, effort and cost, managing project budget, creating detailed project plans and managing change requests

  • Maintain regular communications with active team and business stakeholders to ensure necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve difficulties or compromise achievement of project’s objectives

  • Maintain a detailed status, activities and issues reports on each project to present to IT Managers and major project stakeholders

  • Ensure each project team has established meaningful, key metrics that properly reflect the performance of the team and indicates progress towards objectives

  • Make recommendations on project prioritization and provides feedback to IT managers from a post-completion analysis of all projects

  • Develop and further refines corporate processes while contributing to the improvement of the Project Management Methodology and Software Development Life Cycle

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong track record of professional success with ERP implementations is mandatory in addition to corporate project management experience

  • Conversant in various tools for statistical analysis, management, project planning, and time tracking including MS Project and MS Excel

  • Intimate knowledge of the software development lifecycle

  • Leadership and expertise in team building

  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to deal with situations where information is difficult to obtain, complex or ambiguous

  • Proven excellent organizational skills and teamwork skills

  • Proven oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work to tight timelines

Qualifications:

  • University degree

  • PMP certification
