Position:  Senior Manager, IT Processes and Compliance

Location:  Vancouver, BC - relocation available

Position Description:

IT MindFinders is conducting a search for a Senior Manager, IT Processes and Compliance for the Vancouver office of our international client.

Reporting to the Senior Director, IT Governance in Vancouver, the IT Process and Compliance Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining best practice processes in IT. This includes a strong focus on the business processes that are supporting the SOX controls environment. 

The key functional responsibility for this role is the program management of the SOX IT General Controls initiative as well as an overall responsibility to drive best practice processes across the IT organization

Responsibilities:

  • coaching of control owners on best practice processes
  • managing the monthly control self assessment process
  • tracking the status of failures/remediation
  • being the primary interface point for internal and external audit
  • conduct periodic reviews to ensure that the IT controls are functioning as intended and are ready for audit
  • Coordinating training for ITIL, COBIT, PMBOK or any other framework based training that may be required for IT Managers
  • Program Managing the implementation of best practice processes across the IT organization
  • Owner of the overall process map for IT including process ownership
  • Measuring our process maturity levels and implementing programs to increase maturity where required

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of IT Management/Leadership experience  or IT Consulting experience
  • Experience managing complex programs or projects
  • Experience with IT frameworks and methodologies such as ITIL, COBIT, PMBOK
  • Candidates with experience with SOX, and IT General Controls are preferred
  • Candidates with experience working in a complex international environment are preferred
  • Ability to implement and manage processes, procedures and structure
  • Very strong team building and communication skills
  • Adaptable – able to deal with fast moving environment
  • Customer focused
  • Able to work with people at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to work in a complex international organization
