Position: Senior Oracle EBS Developer/Analyst
Location: Vancouver, BC
IT MindFinders is conducting a search for a Senior Oracle E-Business Suite Developer/Analyst on behalf of our client located in Vancouver, BC. Reporting directly to the IT Director in Sweden and a dotted line report to the IT Director in Vancouver, the Senior Oracle EBS Developer/Analyst will support our client’s Swedish office and distribution facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in all phases of the project life cycle including analyzing, designing, modeling, testing and deploying suitable and appropriate solutions.
- Complete customizations in the EBS modules of Order Management, Inventory and Purchasing to meet various business requirements. Customizations will include the following: Oracle forms for data input, Oracle PL/SQL queries, and Oracle Reports for data retrieval as well as completing customizations through Oracle API’s
- Work with the business owners and business analyst to understand the project requirements
- Work with other members of the IT development team to design the architecture and specifications for the project
- Work with the Project Manager to develop and project plan a timeline
- Complete the EBS development and developer testing
- Work with Quality Assurance to ensure the customizations are working as per the requirements
- Assist with deployment of the project as required
- Document the customizations as per the requirements of the business
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 7 – 10 years of programming experience
- Specialized functional expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite specifically in the modules of Inventory (INV) and Order Management (OM) is essential
- Knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials an asset
- Solid background in working with enterprise applications and Oracle databases
- Experience with general development practices as writing unit tests, using source control, writing basic API documentation, following standards guidelines, etc.
- Experience in applying these development methodologies and best practices in a client environment
- Experience in coding or integrating with manufacturing, inventory management, production scheduling and/or, financial applications and systems e.g. ERP
- Advanced development techniques such as design refactoring, test first programming, continuous integration, etc.
- Strong ability to build and maintain positive peer relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Successful completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Computer Science or a related discipline.
