Position:  .Net / SharePoint Programmer Analyst

Location: Clearbrook (Abbotsford), BC

 

IIT MindFinders’ is conducting a search for a .Net Software /SharePoint Programmer Analyst for our client in the Fraser Valley. Reporting directly to the Manager, Solutions Development, this role is responsible for resolving programming issues, enhancements and maintenance fixes, creating management and operating reports, and the compilation and extract of statistical data.  

 

Working closely with Business Analysts and external consultants, this individual will perform as a key resource for the programming department. In particular, the Developer/Analyst will play a lead role in the design and implementation of document scanning and management system that feeds two SharePoint implementations.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop cost effective, reliable programming specifications and coding solutions to address system enhancements and maintenance fixes

  • Ensure that enhancements and fixes are adequately unit tested and that the code changes are documented properly

  • Create, compile and run reports using system language or ad-hoc query/reporting tools such as Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Reporting Services

  • Analyze and evaluate new applications or changes to existing applications, documenting the problems and solutions and submitting recommendations for approval

  • Participate in a telephone Level III Developer Support On-Call schedule – approximately one week per month

  • Liaise with outside organizations and individuals that may provide assistance in the completion of job assignments, including 3rd party suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree preferably in Computer Science

  • Minimum 5 years .NET programming experience (C#, VB.Net, Visual Studio, etc.)

  • Strong background in data manipulation and reporting

  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS-SQL database design / programming

  • Experienced with MS SharePoint

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Proven ability to solve new problems and/or business issues

  • Experienced in planning, scheduling, organizing and prioritizing work assignments

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

  • Previous experience working with banking or financial systems

  • Exposure to MS InfoPath, K2 (BlackPearl), KnowledgeLake

  • Previous experience with WBDK/Wealthview (Probe language)
