Position: Senior Response Engineer
Location: Vancouver, BC
IT MindFinders is conducting a search for a Senior Response Engineer for our client located in downtown Vancouver. Reporting to the VP Development, the SRE will be responsible for providing specialized solutions to Microsoft related issues as they relate to the integration of our client’s Java based internet security products. This individual will be responsible for educating the Engineering team on Microsoft security-related issues, topics, and tools and will also work closely with the product development team. The SRE will act as our client’s Microsoft subject matter expert.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
working closely with our client’s Global Client Services team, will provide 3rd level specialized expertise focused on resolving system issues found within enterprise level Microsoft environments
off-site reconstruction of system issues
act as liaison between product development teams and customers
responsible for defining and determining the configuration of a Java based solution into a Microsoft system
provides detailed Microsoft security-specific information to knowledge database and FAQ's
QUALIFICATIONS:
minimum of 6 years of systems and systems security related experience within large-scale Microsoft environments
Experience with at least 2 or more of the following: Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA), Kerberos, NTLM, Protocol Transition (S4U2Self), Constrained Delegation (S4U2Proxy), Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Windows Identity Foundation (WIF), PKI, and Identity Access Management (IAM)
Knowledge of Citrix and .NET an asset
must possess advanced problem solving skills with a desire to mentor and share information with team members
above average communication skills matched with a positive can-do attitude
minimum university degree or diploma within an IT discipline
certifications such as CISSP considered highly desirable
