Position: IT Systems & Support Analyst
Location: Vancouver, BC
IT MindFinders is conducting a search for one of our clients located in the Vancouver city centre with excellent access to public transportation. Reporting to the Director of IT, this role will get day to day direction from a Senior Systems Analyst for the administration of corporate and regional office needs in addition to local and remote user support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as main support for standard applications, standard operating systems, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting computer issues.
Provide daily administration, monitoring and support of the environment
Build and setup desktops, laptops, and peripherals for local and remote locations.
Provide end-user desktop support for current supported versions of Exchange, Windows, Domino (Lotus Notes), and MS Office.
Provide professional support to all Canadian users (including remote-mobile users) for all IT related technical issues including hardware, desktop software, business management applications (Formscape/QlikView), phones, Blackberries, etc.
Provide first level support; facilitating problem resolution for company ERP software applications (JD Edwards).
Schedule and perform routine upgrades and preventative maintenance on PC and Server equipment.
Using a proactive approach to systems support, initiate, plan and execute IT systems initiatives to improve overall in house environment
Stay abreast of technological advancements and trends
QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary education (diploma or certificate) in Computer Science or engineering.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a Microsoft network systems environment
Minimum 2 years practical experience supporting
Microsoft Exchange 2003
Active Directory
Windows 2003 Server
Microsoft Terminal Server
Microsoft Office
Experience in troubleshooting of LAN's, switches, routers as well as a strong understanding of TCP/IP based network protocols and services.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to convey technical issues in non-technical terms
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical operating procedures, white papers, manuals, installation instructions and effectively present information to individuals or groups and respond to questions.
Excellent problem definition and solving skills
Customer centric attitude, strive for excellent quality and pay close attention to detail when responding to and/or directing inquiries from employees
A team player with a disciplined, self-directed, mature, professional approach to work
Excellent oral/written English communication skills

Ability to periodically travel to site locations
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
Experience supporting and administrating Lotus Notes (sunset)
Experience with performing common backup schemes
Experience with Cisco VoIP
SQL Server skills
French language skills
