Position: Sales Specialist - Cisco Product Suite & VoIP

Position Description:

The Sales Specialist – Cisco Product Suite is responsible for providing knowledge and sales expertise to clients and internal Account Executives on Cisco’s suite of products including their VOIP solution. Sales activities will include team sales effort in conjunction and support of client Account Managers as well as hunting new business. Net new business, outside of  an established customer base, that is brought in by the Sales Specialist can be for any and all products and services the company offers. 

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develops, expands and manages the Cisco practice in all existing customer accounts in conjunction with the Account Executives with the objective being to expand the relationship, revenue contribution and growth of existing business
  • Identifies, qualifies and closes new opportunities based on understanding of an organization’s business and strategic direction in addition  to profitability targets
  • Establishes, maintains and manages effective business relationships with Cisco to position the company as a preferred partner and will capitalize on existing account control earned by these partners
  • Works closely with Account Executives in executing qualified sales opportunities that are consistent with the Cisco product and solution strategies
  • Designs and accurately prices Cisco solutions that address the customer's business needs and ensures customer expectations are met
  • Develops responses to proposals for Cisco opportunities including completing financial analysis, cost/benefit assessment and pricing methodologies
  • Assists with contract negotiations and contract renewal process for Cisco opportunities
  • Works collaboratively with Sales and Services organizations to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provides monthly revenue forecasts and ensures pipeline is accurate for all Cisco focused opportunities
  • Stays current on relevant strategic technologies and trends; continually develops industry knowledge by participating in key industry events/conferences, reading trade journals, participating in partners’ training programs and taking advantage of external education as appropriate

Must have skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience selling Cisco and or related solutions utilizing a business case selling methodology
  • Solid understanding of VOIP technologies
  • Post secondary education or working equivalent
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge and/or sales certification with Cisco products
  • Proven ability to deliver on aggressive, individual sales quota, increase market share by acquiring net new customers and grow revenues in existing accounts
  • Understanding complex proposals and experience writing RFP responses
  • Ability to prepare and deliver clear, effective presentations in a variety of formal settings at multiple levels within the customer’s organization
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools
