Position: Sales Executive - Western Canada

Location: Burnaby, BC

Reporting directly to the VP Sales, the Sales Executive (SE) will be a key contributor driving business within a geographic Canadian region. With a focus on the Credit Union sector, the SE will further develop their existing contacts and continue to solicit, build and maintain relationships within their target client base.

The SE will own the sales cycle from prospecting new business opportunities through to closing sales.  The role offers the appropriate individual an opportunity to work from a home office with periodic reporting into either the Canadian (Burnaby) and US Corporate offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Recommend appropriate Business Solutions to prospective clients based their needs and requirements.

  • Develop and maintain an internal organizational network within the corporate and regional offices to support and resolve arising sales issues and/or challenges.

  • Recommend use of secured resources based on business opportunities.

  • Determine the level of organizational resources needed to address qualified prospects’ needs. Secure and schedule all necessary resources. 
  • Solves problems and makes decisions for which there are no precedents or guidelines.

  • Provide management with regular updates on the sales cycle.

  • Achieve sales quotas on an annual basis

 Must Have Skills & Education:

  • University or college post-secondary degree or related work experience.

  • Minimum 6-10 years sales experience – preference will be given to individuals with experience selling financial services products, preferably core to credit unions.

  • Track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets.

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the sales process and account management methodologies selling core systems into financial institutions.

  • Experience selling an application service provider model and/or software licensing.

  • Require a clear understanding of business processes and computer applications that address business processes.

  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills as

  • Strong written communication skills and PC Skills (MS Office, etc.)

  • Travel throughout the assigned region is required up to 50%. The Sales Executive is responsible for their own scheduling.
