IT MindFinders is conducting a search for an Information Systems Development Manager on behalf of our client located in Burnaby, BC.  The position will be actively involved in planning and managing the execution of various projects including process review, requirements documentation, system architecture design, development and integration.  More specifically, the position will be directly responsible for managing the design, integration and implementation of core systems, including CRM, ERP and a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

• Collaborate with external consultants and developers in order to define and maintain the integration strategy and architecture of the systems.
• Eliminate obstacles for development and implementation through effective planning and communication which includes maintaining open and effective communication among the internal cross-functional teams.
• Conduct performance reviews, professional development and team building for the IS group. 
• Work with the IT group to develop an infrastructure strategy that meets the needs of the various systems and supports an aggressive growth strategy.
• Assist executive in identifying project execution and project management process improvements.
• Coordinate system validation in accordance with regulatory requirements and oversee creation of technical and end-user documentation and training initiatives.

Must Have Skills and Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science or Computer Programming or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of application development experience as a Programmer/Systems Analyst in a medium to large multi-system environment.
• Implementation experience of large-scale applications such as ERP, MRP, LIMS or CRM.
• Solid background in requirements gathering, system design and development as well as experience testing multi-tiered business applications.
• Experience in delivering systems in a regulated environment and knowledge of validation and testing practices.
• Must have prior experience balancing the demands and challenges of working effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast paced technical environment.
• Strong skills in C#, C++ or VB as well as a proficiency working with structured databases.
• 2+ years .NET development experience.
• Operating systems including UNIX, DOS, Windows or VMS.
• MS SQL Server, Oracle, ODBC.
