Position Description:

IT MindFinders is conducting a search for a Manager, Software Development for our client located in Vancouver, BC.

Responsibilities:

• Management of a software development team to deliver on assigned software product component(s)
• Overall design and implementation of the software, project development schedules, coordination with other development teams, QA coordination, and documentation content contribution and review.
• Collaborating with the Architecture Team to define and maintain the overall technical architectural integrity of the products.
• Conducting the appropriate level of product knowledge transfer to our Professional Services and Support organization to better serve our customers.
• Timely resolution of customer issues escalated by our Support organization.
• Elimination of obstacles for development through effective planning and communication; which includes maintaining open communication between the local and offshore teams.
• Conducting performance reviews, professional development, and team building for team members.

Must Have Skills and Requirements:

• 10+ years experience in application design and development environment with 2+ years experience as a development manager.
• past experience in a senior development role in previous large scale software development projects that include the release of secure enterprise application platform technology.
• Excellent leadership, communications, mentoring and interpersonal skills.
• Superior organization and project management skills, and the ability to drive deadlines and multi-tasking demands.
• Experienced C# and C++ programmer with UML, object-oriented analysis, design, and application development expertise.
• Development experience with .NET
