IT MindFinders is conducting a search for a Software Development Project Manager on behalf of our client located in Richmond, BC.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the following:

- managing all phases of a project including planning, communications, resources, scope, development, implementation, and delivery.
- will execute regular monitoring and implement corrective actions necessary to maintain the health of projects.
- will lead a small multi-disciplinary development team and ensure that project deliverables are produced consistently and effectively.

- project initiation, planning execution, control and closing processes
- project plan development
- managing projects, reporting regularly on status
- applying leadership skills to managing the team and the relationship with project stakeholders
- maintaining effective use of allocated resources

Required Skills:

- 5+ years of proven project management experience in software development, preferably small team web-based application development
- Solid understanding of the SDLC

- Preference will be given to candidates that come from structured development environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong motivational and team building skills
- Time management, project tracking and excellent organizational skills are essential
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
PMP certification is an asset
