IT MindFinders is conducting a search for a QA Specialist on behalf of our client located in Vancouver, BC.

• Proficient in English
• Proficient in developing test cases/scripts and procedures (manual and automated)
• Proficient in full life cycle test execution including unit, string, UAT, regression and load testing
• Experience with problem solving, root cause analysis and trouble shooting
• Experience with interpreting test results and making recommendations
• Familiarity with the product development lifecycle
• Familiarity with the following; Java, J2EE, JBoss, SQL Server, SQL,
• Solid knowledge of Windows 9x, 2000, and XP and MS products

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the quality reviews of several software applications prior to release
• Work with end users to create and execute user acceptance test cases
• Document, set-up and administer libraries of test cases for various applications
• Report results to and work with the development team to ensure application requirements are delivered
• Recommend software quality improvements
• Meet project schedules, timelines and deadlines
• Maintain quality assurance hardware and software
• Facilitate quality assurance education across the organization
