IT MindFinders is conducting a search for a Systems Analyst on behalf of our client located in Richmond, BC.  Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Systems Analyst will join a team of talented software developers and will have the following responsibilities: 

• Manages meetings with project stakeholders in order to define and support development of complex software solutions.
• Makes effective use of OOA/D specification techniques to define and communicate design and architecture details.
• Creates detailed specifications, including steps required to develop or modify software.
• Evaluates alternative approaches to solving business issues, producing formal technical solutions based on corporate documentation standards.
• Analyze complex data structures and formulate data transformation plan requirements.
• Generates work packages, estimates development effort, and works closely with project manager and development teams on WBS development.

Must Have Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in either a technical discipline or business-related field
• Experience leading design and architecture initiatives
• Excellent customer interaction skills
• Solid communication and teamwork skills
• At least intermediate-level XML design and data analysis experience, supported by a minimum of 2 years participating on a related development project
• 2+ years of experience with J2EE, database design and n-tier system architecture
• Minimum 2 years of solid experience writing design specifications and technical documentation used by other software developers
• Willingness and ability to travel to the US as required
