Position Description

IT MindFinders is conducting a search for 2 Systems/Data Analysts on behalf of our client located in Delta, BC.  Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure, the Systems/Data Analyst is responsible for understanding and supporting the process of how the organizational systems interact as well as how data is exchanged.  This individual will have an in depth understanding of system design and the information captured within the system as well as how the system makes use of this information.  The Systems/Data Analyst will:

• use reporting tools and data utilities to produce national standard reports and data files for internal/external use
• consult with divisional staff to assist with report and data file creation
• troubleshoot system problems
• test and implement fixes and new software releases
• design and develop specifications, test and implement new interfaces between systems (data warehouse)
• participate in the design, specifications, testing of program modifications as well as the implementation of new system releases
• provide system and data expertise to assist staff with reporting and data file creation
• provide 24x7 support for all systems including regularly scheduled on call duties outside of business hours

Must Have Skills and Requirements:

• minimum of 5 years of application development experience as a programmer/systems analyst in a medium to large multi-system environment
• strong skills in defining user requirements, solution design, testing and implementation
• above average written and verbal communication skills
• must have proven ability to deal effectively with customers and suppliers, both internally and externally

• a computer or business related degree from a university, college or accredited technical institution or the equivalent combination of post secondary education and relevant work experience
