IT MindFinders is conducting a search for a Citrix Specialist for our client, a downtown Vancouver consulting firm.

This exciting role is best suited to a technical expert that is happiest when dealing with people on a face to face basis and enjoys variety in their work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out infrastructure design and deployment

• Deal effectively with all levels of customers and team members – working at a high level (consulting with clients) and a detailed level (hands on)

• Install, configure, optimize, troubleshoot and support Citrix Metaframe

• Plan and lead network project installations and upgrades

• Effectively troubleshoot infrastructure issues such as performance bottlenecks, configuration faults

• Produce accurate and informative technical documentation

• Presales support including development of technical reports and demonstrations,

• Customer presentations and input into customer proposals

• Assist other technicians in resolving complex network hardware and software issues

 MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• College or University education or more than six (6) years of related job experience or minimum 3 years experience as an IT Consultant

• Proven experience architecting Citrix solutions with NFuse Classic / Elite or minimum 2 years experience with virtualization based solutions

• Experience with a Metaframe 1.8 to XP upgrade

• Ability to define and document practices and procedures consistently and accurately

• A sense of urgency to complete tasks and assignments

• Strong ability to transfer knowledge to other technicians and team members

• Strong ability to diffuse customer situations and project a positive and confident

• Strong technical and analytical focus

• Superior English written and verbal communication skills

• Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle

• Preference will be given for Citrix certifications (CCIA, CCEA or CCA)

• Nice to have -  Windows 2003 MCSE or related experience such as AD design and implementation and Exchange 2000/Titanium
